Plans heating up for Cork Week 2010

welcomeWorth an estimated €10 million to the local economy, the eagerly anticipated staging of Cork Week 2010, has confirmed boat entries from throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom and also from France, Holland, Australia the USA and Canada.

Retail Space in the famous Cork Week Tented Village is fully booked according to Commercial Manager for the Event, John Neville, who is confident that he has improved on the superb 2008 event. Visitors to Cork Week, which takes place at the Royal Cork Yacht Club, in Crosshaven, from July 10th to 16th, will be able to enjoy the Festival Atmosphere on-shore, while the participants are competing on the numerous courses inside, and outside, Cork Harbour.

The “Coronas” and” Bagatelle” are amongst the acts already confirmed for Cork Week 2010 and for people who want to make their visit to Crosshaven even more memorable, there are fantastic Barbecue packages available.

Cork Simon Community will host a Fundraising Lunch on July 15th and many, many more events are planned onshore as competitors battle it out offshore on the waters of what is acknowledged as one of the greatest natural harbours in the world.
