Inaugural IRC European Championship Supplementary Notice of Race for Volvo Cork Week

The supplementary Notice of Race for the inaugural IRC European Championship and the amended Notice of Race for Volvo Cork Week 2016 are now live at:

The Volvo Cork Week 2016 team have had a busy few months culminating with the exciting announcement of the very first IRC European Championship, which will take place in Crosshaven during the event, from July 10^th to 15^th. They have carefully put together the supplementary Notice of Race for this Championship, as well as amending the original Volvo Cork Week Notice of Race, to reflect the marriage between the two events to ensure excellent racing and great competition for all participants. The fact that the Royal Cork Yacht Club has been selected to host the prestigious Royal Ocean Racing Club’s inaugural IRC European Championship is a huge honour and reflects the esteem in which the entire Volvo Cork Week Organising Committee are held and will guarantee support from IRC boats from all over Ireland, as well as overseas.

All information on different fleets, entry eligibilities and travel arrangements can be found within the Notices of Race. The Royal Cork Yacht Club looks forward to giving a warm Irish welcome to the competitors from far and wide, with a fantastic Volvo Cork Week Open Day taking place on Saturday the 9^th of July and the Official Event Opening Ceremony on Sunday the 10^th of July, after the practice races, followed by five days of some of the best racing to be found on the 2016 sailing calendar.
