CORK WEEK is hosted by the Royal Cork Yacht Club which is the oldest yacht club in the world, founded in 1720. Cork Week is run every two years with the next event taking place from 7th – 13th July, 2012. From small beginnings with just over 50 boats in 1978 when the first regatta was held, to 550 boats in 2008. It is a week of highly competitive sailing and great social entertainment – something for everybody.
