Sigma 38 Class

The Sigma 38 Class have decided to include ACCBank Cork Week on their racing calendar for 2008.  The Class are very confident of having 15 boats which will guarantee their own class start.  The Class will sail on a different course each day and take advantage of the variety offered at ACCBank Cork Week.

ACCBank Cork Week will be the Sigma 38 European Championships.  Boats from Ireland, France, Scotland, all over England and possible Holland are expected to make the journey for this event which has long been an important part of the racing calendar.  Past participants particularly enjoy the wide variety of racing Cork offers as well as the social side.  This sociable class moors up together,  meets every …

X – 35 Class

The X-35 Class will sail in IRC Class 2 at ACCBank Cork Week 2008 and their individual race and overall X-35 results will be posted separately.  The class will therefore sail the full menu of courses in the regatta.…

X- 332 Class

The X-332 Class are happy to announce that the 2008 Championship of Great Britain & Ireland will be held at ACCBank Cork Week.  The class have 10 boats entered which guarantees the classes own start.  The class will sail the standard 5 days of courses:

1. Windward / Leeward Course 2. Olympic Course 3. Trapezoid Course 4. Harbour Course 5. Slalom Course

Record Entries

Having secured a major title sponsor for the event, organisers of Europe’s Premiere Regatta, ACCBank Cork Week are buoyed up by the fact that entry levels for the 2008 event, which takes place from July 12th to 18th in Crosshaven, Co Cork, Ireland, are significantly up on 2006.

Dave Meagher, Chairman of the Cork Week Race Committee, is excited by the sheer range and mix of boats entering, “We already have six confirmed TP 52s entered who will compete for the Carroll Challenge Cup and the SB3s will have more than 60 boats racing on the One-Design Course.”

100th Entry

Congratulations to Emma McDonald of Howth Yacht Club who is the 100th Entry and as such receives her entry for free.  Emma will be sailing her SB3 Trouble! at this year event, which promises a high turn out of numbers in the new & exciting SB3 class.  Emma is no stranger to ACCBank Cork Week having competed many times before and we look forward to seeing her in July.…
